WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
While there are NO refunds for any reason, we do accept transfers.
All transfers MUST be received 10 days prior to race day!
Why? Because we already paid for your medal, your shirt, your timing chip, the venue, the buff, the obstacles, everything...
We do our absolute BEST to work with you...but we simply cannot honor late transfers.
-You may transfer your ticket to our NEXT EVENT...and next event only OR you may also transfer your registration to a future event by emailing fitchallengeinfo@yahoo.com but it MUST be received 10 days prior to race day. Please note there is a $15 transfer fee and only the current registration holder may transfer their registration to another participant.
CAN I REGISTER THE DAY OF THE RACE?
Remember it is ALWAYS cheaper to register earlier!
Trail Race - Walk-up registrations are available for ALL waves...
5K - $40
5 Mile - $45
Multilap - $50

Ultra Day-Of Registrations are available 60 minutes prior to start time - $220
Multilap Day-Of Registrations are available for the 9:15am wave ONLY - $120

I’M NOT IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, IS THIS A BAD IDEA?
Absolutely not! The F.I.T. Mud Run Challenge is not a race, it is a Challenge of your Fortitude, Integrity and Toughness, do you have it?
CAN KIDS PARTICIPATE?
YES! There is a designated kids course for the Trail Race and is a .79 mile course. For the Obstacle Course Race, there is no designated kids course, however kids are welcome with parental consent to participate on our main course. We have had hundreds of kids participate with our youngest finisher being 4 years old.
CAN WE COMPETE WITH TEAMS?
There is no team division, but you're welcome to take the Challenge with a group to help you through the obstacles. For more information about a group rate or special wave time, contact us at fitchallenge@yahoo.com. We will ABSOLUTELY accommodate you!
CAN I BYPASS AN OBSTACLE?
As a true test of Fortitude, Integrity, and Toughness you're expected to complete all obstacles. However, if you're unable to complete an obstacle, you may bypass the obstacle and you will absolutely receive your finisher medal.
WILL THERE BE WATER STATIONS?
YES, there will be water stations every mile and each mile will be marked.
PARKING? BATHROOMS? SHOWERS?
Parking is ON SITE ($10) and your car is literally footsteps from the starting line and vendor area. Our bag check hasn't been used because parking was so close and accessible! We have an onsite bathroom building located in the park. We have hoses available over at the bathroom house to hose off, however, we ALWAYS recommend bringing a gallon of water for an extra rinse!
SPECTATORS?
YES, we absolutely WELCOME spectators and ALL, and we mean ALL of our obstacles are viewable! Your friend or family member will be able to see you in action! There is a $10 spectator fee.
IS THIS AN OCR WORLD QUALIFYING EVENT?
Yes, we are an official OCR World Championships event!
Qualification Standards: (male and female)
Elite Wave - Top 3 overall
Open Wave - Top 5 age group (13-17, 18-24, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60-up)
Multilap Wave - Complete 5 laps in under 6 hours
Ultra - Top 3 overall
*Ultra and Multilap - ONLY YOUR FIRST LAP WILL BE SCORED IN THE OPEN AGE GROUP CATEGORY*
CAN I VOLUNTEER?
Yes! And, volunteering gets you a free race entry! If you want a timing chip, its $10, multilaps are the same as everyone, $10/lap.
Volunteer Credit for the Ultra is a one-time $55 refund or discount. The Ultra cost is OUTRAGEOUSLY high, which is why we only can discount it $55 for one shift.
IF you want your race entry refunded, volunteer after you run on race day OR sign-up to volunteer on break down day the Sunday after the event!
Volunteer credits are good for ONE year from the time of service and can be given to someone else.

WHAT CHARITY DO YOU SUPPORT?
We graciously donate proceeds from this event to many different organizations, The Family Reach Foundation, Joslins Diabetes Center, the North Attleboro Park and Rec Department, The Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Baskets For Buddies are also AMAZING charities we have supported in past events! All told, we have donated over $30,000 from our 35 events!!!
WHAT ARE YOUR COVID PROTOCOLS?
YES, ABSOLUTELY events can be held, when done correctly! We SAFELY held 5 events in 2020, so we certainly have experience with Pandemic events. YOUR safety is our number one concern. We work in partnership with the Town of Cumberland representatives to follow ALL R.I. state guidelines for outdoor events. We submit a detailed plan to the town's Covid Committee and then work collaboratively to meet ALL safety guidelines...We have 6 events planned for 2021 and will follow this same protocol...listed below are policies and procedures we have implemented. Covid protocols trump any information on the FAQs.
TRAIL RACE COVID PROTOCOLS
Signage from the state of R.I. that is available on their website will be placed at the entrance and at the registration area in addition it will be emailed to all participants, and posted in the Facebook event page.
ALL people will be required to wear face masks, except for runners when they cross the start line to begin their run.
ANYONE who has symptoms or doesn’t feel well will be allowed a race transfer so they do not feel like they will miss out.
Open and rolling start line format with 2 different windows to start…7:00am-9:00am, 9:00am-10:30am…so folks will grab their timing chip and head right up to the start line and begin, we will have the timing mat active at all times at the start line and finish line
NO award ceremony.
NO music at the finish area.
NO vendor area.
NO tents set up to avoid congregating.
Runners will be told once they finish to take their medal from the table and leave.
Hand sanitizing stations in the registration area and finish area.
250 people total for the event, to ensure we do not reach capacity, but folks who come and start at 7am will be home already by the time the folks that show up at 9:30am to run.
NO water stations, folks will be told to bring their own and that the race is self-supported. We will have emergency materials as always with our medical professional.
OBSTACLE RACE COVID PROTOCOLS

ALL registration materials will be emailed to participants to ensure a contactless check-in
Folks will be able to park right in the main lot and asked to stay in their cars until their wave window.
We usually have 30 obstacles at an event…we are cutting this and only having 20…we estimate this will lower the average course time to around 60 minutes, therefore ensuring we have a VERY socially distanced course.
We will begin waves at 7am and let 50 people start on a rolling basis covering a 30-minute span…Open and rolling start line format with a hot start line the entire event…so folks will grab their timing chip, for their half-hour window and head right up to the start line and begin, we will have the timing mat active at all times at the start line and finish line.
The folks that run at 7am, will be home when the folks at 9am are running…the outdoor limit for events is 250 people total in one area at one time, we estimate no more than 75, even at peak in one area at one time.
ALL people will be required to wear face masks that we will provide. Once runners have started to run they may remove their face covering…when a runner approaches an obstacle, they must put their face mask on.
Hand sanitizing stations will be at EACH obstacle, before AND after the obstacle.
Protocol is to: approach the obstacle, put on your face covering, sanitize your hands, complete the obstacle, remove your face covering, sanitize again, continue running.
Staff will be periodically disinfecting any touchpoints throughout the day.

NO award ceremony, NO vendor area, NO spectators.

The finish area will have the medals spread out and a path directly back to the parking area and staff will “encourage” folks to head out immediately after finishing and multilappers encouraged to head back out on course.
OBSTACLE COURSE RACE MULTI-LAP INFO
You will have 5 hours to START your final lap...meaning if you start at 7:45am, you can start laps until 12:45pm
Your registration fee was $10 extra than a usual open wave ticket, this covers your 2nd lap. Any additional lap after your 2nd is $10/lap which is paid on race day and ONLY for the laps you complete.
Blocks are awarded for 3+ lap finishers and they get bigger as you complete more laps! Numbered pins are also awarded for your ribbon lanyard. When you have completed your laps, head to the multi-lap tent area near the start line, return your timing chip, settle up with our folks and get your block and pins!
You may set up a rest area. We have a massive area available for all runners!
Obstacles are NOT mandatory, use your integrity and do what you can! But ALWAYS trust yourself and be safe!
COVID UPDATE
We are going to implement an every/other policy for obstacles...meaning alternate your laps doing obstacles, one lap doing them, then one lap not. We are doing this to avoid ANY backups at obstacles. By all means, if you are on your off obstacle lap, and there is no wait at the obstacle, please feel free to complete it!
You will have 7 hours to start your final lap. We will also cap the extra paid laps at 5, so you’ll only pay an additional $30 max....we aren’t looking to take more of your money, just spread you folks out!
ULTRA INFO
You will have 12 hours to start your final lap and then an additional 75 minutes for your final lap...so if we begin at 7am, you need to start your final lap by 7pm and finish it by 8:15pm.
Not every lap will have obstacles, we do offer obstacle-free laps and typically we cut all obstacles late afternoon to allow our breakdown crew an early start, and also by that time, you are destroyed!!!
There is NO additional charge per lap
You receive a tie bib to wear and a pile of additional swag!
8 laps is considered an Ultra Finisher and you are awarded the buckle!
Pins are given for each lap and your block will have your lap total number on it!
You can stage your things for your pit in the same area as our multi-lap folks
